One Skill I Wish I Had But Don’t

Have you ever looked at your handwriting and winced? I know I have! I am embarrassed of my handwriting, and no matter how much I practice, it still looks awful. I’ve always been envious of those who can write in beautiful calligraphy style script.

This week’s blogging challenge has inspired me to take a calligraphy class! I don’t know how it’s going to go, or if it will give me any sort of beautiful handwriting skills, but at the very least, it can be a great research opportunity for my books!

  1. Mine’s not BAD but it’s not great either. My mom would make me rewrite my school assignments until she thought they were acceptable (never mind my writing got worse the more I did it). When I got older, I discovered hers isn’t all that great either. LOL!

Have fun with the calligraphy class! A couple years ago for Christmas, I bought my daughter a couple books and a set of pens because she wanted to learn. She has a lot of fun with it.

    1. I wonder if I could find a similar book at the library. Worth a check! One would think I’d have good handwriting after working in a bakery and decorating cakes, but that’s not the case.

  2. That’s so cool you’ve been inspired to take a calligraphy class, Sydney. You make me want to do that too!
Actually, I just finished reading a wonderful romance where the heroine is a word artist. It’s called Love Lettering by Kate Clayborn and it’s wonderful. Lots of info about lettering too.
