I’ve read, critiqued, and edited plenty of books, including self-published and traditionally published works. Although not all books have some of these points I’ll make below, I’ve noticed self-published books often do make these mistakes. The good news is that if you’re aware of them, you can avoid them!

I’m privileged to be a part of The Wild Rose Press, who is compiling an anthology from our authors. All proceedings from the anthology will go toward the Australia Wildfire Relief. The anthology includes short stories from The Wild Rose Press authors from all genres, and be sure to check out my story, Born of Fangs. It’s a bonus short story about Willow and Adam Degore, taking place after Bloodborn.
The release date for the Anthology has been set for February 14, Valentine’s Day, to show some love for those affected by the Australia wildfires. Less than a month to go! I’m so happy that I can use one of my talents to support a good cause, and I’m so grateful to be a part of a publishing company with authors, editors, and cover artists willing to donate their time and talents. Getting a cover is probably one of the hardest parts of the waiting game for publishing a book! When I at last received my cover art, I was overjoyed! Take a look at the cover teaser and stay tuned for the actual cover reveal!
I’ve only started to get serious about my writing in the last year, and what a year it has been! I had attended an author event for Sarah M. Eden, although I didn’t really know who she was at the time. It was then that I realized I didn’t want to write for fun anymore. I sat down that very night, scrolled through Pinterest to find something to spark a book idea, and thus, Bloodborn was forged!
